Cole, Retired Special Agent for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in law enforcement.
After serving in the U.S. Navy for five years and working in a part-time position with the Village of Calumet Police Department, Mr. Cole discovered his passion for law enforcement. He went on to accrue 30 years of experience in the government service field, retiring just a few years ago in 2009. Not only has he served as a police officer for the U.S. Department of Defense, but he has also been a special agent with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. He was initially an agent for the now defunct Immigration and Naturalization Service, and regularly worked with employer sanctions and the Criminal Alien Apprehension unit. As a senior special agent with this division, he was responsible for gaining intelligence concerning gang members and attending investigation meetings.
Accredited by the Immigration and Naturalization Service, Mr. Cole is a certified criminal investigator. He is also a certified police officer in the state of Illinois, and he holds an associate degree in criminal justice from Moraine Valley Community College, from which he graduated with cum laude honors. Mr. Cole belongs to American MENSA and supports the Law Enforcement Alliance of America. During his military service, he was honored by the Navy as Sailor of the Quarter.
